Reading Festival!
Submitted by keither on 27 August, 2010 - 15:44.Just saw the news about the Reading festival and all the mud after this weeks torrential rain - and wish I was there! After going to Glastonbury again this year and the heatwave I toyed with the idea of Reading but forgot to book tickets till it was too late. Now how gutted am I!
A whole weekend of cider, great music, great atmosphere and of course lots of opportunities to don the riggers and wallow for a few days. Oh well, maybe next year.
Did anyone go from here? If so, what was it like?!
Keither.
A19 Mud Hole
Submitted by Anonymous on 17 August, 2010 - 12:32.Next to the A19 between Thornaby & Middlesbrough (soundbound) there is a rather silted up mud hole that once carryied any wash off from the beck in the woods on the other side of the road (in Thornaby) there is a water tunnel that lays underneath the A19 but Isn't open so you can't get into it.
The Hole hole is 8ft by 15ft and is around a ft deep in places so you will get stuck ( I did ) Its location is private and off the beaten track so the only means of reaching it are by a self made footpath (which you will have to fight through over grown tree's and shrubs to reach.
Cambridgeshire Quarry
Submitted by muddsterr on 8 August, 2010 - 22:18.Lots of pits, deep smooth mud, reed beds, plenty of water to wash off. No security, no fences to climb, just clamber over a bank and you're in. It's still a working quarry so no point going in the daytime. Evenings and Sunday afternoon have been undisturbed for me so far. Suggest parking on side of the road to the East, walk through the woods and round the field on the other side of the woods.

Muddy Event Organisation
Submitted by mudboy on 17 May, 2009 - 23:34.Future 'event' feature
Thinking about organising events for mudboyuk.com members I planning to add event organisation features to the site. Below are some thoughts about how events can be arranged. There are lots of options and I'd like some feedback from both people who would plan events and people who might be interested in attending.

Two years later and there were 20 galleries and a tasteful scrolling marquee.... the site was still hosted by fortune city in their village at "dennis hancock drive" but we had the domain name mudboyuk.com
