Entwistle near Bolton

Description of the location

This is a location where 3 public footpaths intersect at a farm entrance, the mud is regularly 12 inches (30cm) deep being well churned up by farm machinery, it also often contains some cow manure. Unfortunately the backs of a few houses overlook this spot, and the only water for cleanup is a nearby cattle trough, so I would recommend only using it in the evening or just walking through it.

The best way to get there is to park on Entwistle Hall Lane, just around the hairpin bend, and follow the path at the end of Holly Bank. This means you'll already be ankle deep before you even get to the churned up stuff.
