Fuchsmuehle (Hilpoltstein, Bavaria, Germany)

Description of the location

Next one - I did not find enough time yesterday to submit this spot at once with my other location - but this will keep Mudboy busy   :-)

Anyway, this sinking spot is close to the one titled "Hofstetten", in fact it can be found approxiamtely 1/2 mile down the dirtroad. Almost the same condition awaits the 'sinking-athlete': Several fish ponds in a row, where some of these are usually drained during late fall and early spring. There is a footpath in the North of the ponds (hikers appear from time to time, but not as frequently as on the main road). The Southern and Western pond are the most secluded and muddiest ones.

'In case of emergeny' follow the little creek upstream located in the South West. There are some knee-deep spots (sometimes a bit deeper) directly in and next to the creek. The stream can be used for cleaning-up, as well.

I recommend visiting the place during dawn.

I made the photos on Jan/03, where the temperature was 10° degrees below 0° C (14° F) - so you won't see any muddy spots, but you get a pretty good idea of the area.

Cheers!
