Hofstetten (Hilpoltstein, Bavaria, Germany)
I run this one under "farm" as the location is used as fish pond during summer times, but becomes a swampy area during late autumn and early spring. The dark grey mud is soft and the place is just above knee deep in specific locations (waders are advisable) - otherwise wellies are OK, if your pants should stay nice and dry :-)
The spot is directly next to a unpaved roadway, which is open for all traffic, so cars might approach quickly. Otherwise there is a good chance of hikers and cyclists walking by, so this makes it a late-night-adventure only, which is OK as the mud is not as deep and predictable if you wear tall boots.
