ephemeral pond north of Deveils jumps
Submitted by hungdungdung on 18 January, 2012 - 20:08 Description of the locationThe pond referred to here was just a load of mud last time i was there, public location therefore night only, washing opportunity depends on the amount of water in the pond or exit dribble of a stream
parking on the dirt road to the east, one used to be able to drive along this, dont know whether you still can, lot of conservation work in this area..... the pond is completely waterless in the satellite but surely there is mud at the right time of year? Can someone have a look??

Maltby Low Wood
Submitted by teesskin on 9 May, 2011 - 13:18 Description of the locationMaltby Low Wood is a very private and out of the way place used mostly for private photo shoots and video work by me hence why I use it often tho the wood is currently set back behind two farmers feilds and close to the small beck next to a farm feild often with cows in (for those who like fresh muck)
The beck is Ideal for getting cleaned in afterwards tho the muddy area is just off to one side next to a old storm drain that tends to wash mud and old leaves into a small hollow about 2 foot deep, the size of the muddy area / swamp is in total 6 to 8 meters long by 6ft wide.

A nice area to play nearly undisturbed in the center of a forested bug.

Stream bog in Epping Forest51.680356,0.076872
Submitted by diveruk on 20 December, 2009 - 15:57 Description of the locationMight belong under "Forest & Wilderness" rather than "Bogs or Swamps", but according to a friend this is a stream bog.
Coordinates are an estimate, but the area is well worth exploring. If you head south from the path next to Ambresbury Banks, you will almost certainly encounter mud, especially in wet weather. I know at least one spot you will sink up to your waist in, if not deeper - looks like a dried-up stream bed with a tree fallen over it, and the tree comes in handy when trying to get out again!

Amesbury, UK
Submitted by DeepMud on 4 January, 2009 - 13:37 Description of the locationI found this spot during a visit to the UK back in 2005 and 2006. I would like to apologize in advance asI am unable to provide any pictures of this location, but found it interesting, so I would like to share this one with you, anyway. It is close to Stonehenge so you can go mudding plus get educated in 1/2 a day! ;-)
