Mudpit at Gay Campground in AL/FL
I have been in touch with a guy from Spring Creek Campground in southern AL, who sent me the attached photo of a mudpit they have on the property near their stream.
According to them, it is between 3-4 feet deep, smooth clay dirt. This campground is just north of the FL panhandle in Geneva, AL. Myself and a couple other guys are thinking of heading down there for a weekend sometime. THe location is pretty far south, but it stays warm/humid (80's temps) until about mid-November. The management there seems keen on having a mudfest weekend. Getting support from campground owners on this kind of thing can be tough, but maybe we can make something of it.
Anyone else interested? Let's hear from you, and maybe we can come up with a date.
